Your home from home is situated in the heart of Galloway, in Scotland's national book town, we're on the south side of this the County town, situated on the north east coast of the Machars region. From here it is easy to discover the many country gardens, the numerous historic sites, to visit Bladnoch Distillery and enjoy the UK's largest local nature reserve. There are so many attractions to see and activities to do here, in fact there's just too much to see and soo much to doo!
Galloway is second only to the Highlands for lowest population density in Scotland, so it's very peaceful and unhurried here. No wonder the nearby Galloway Forest Park has been awarded the status of Dark Sky Park, the only one nominated outside the U.S.A. The stars shine so bright here, you can see the milky way on a moonless night quite clearly.
It's really beautiful here in unspoilt Galloway, it truly is Scotland in miniature, with mountains, forests, lochs and stunning coastal scenery. So go on pack your best smile, lift your spirits high and come over to find out for yourself. You'll love it here.
